The International Network on Quantum Annealing (INQA)

INQA is supported by a International Network Grant from the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.  The INQA network unifies the research activities of major global collaborations in quantum annealing in North America, Japan, the European Union and the United Kingdom. The INQA network hosts online seminars, connective events, and international academic conferences that address the key topics which will enable quantum annealing to move towards a true quantum scaling advantage over classical approaches to NP- hard computational problems.

Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (UBC Blusson QMI)

The Stewart Blusson Quantum Matter Institute (Blusson QMI) is the first Global Research Excellence (GREx) Institute at the University of British Columbia. Our investigators are collaborative theorists and experimentalists working together across departments and disciplines to identify, classify and explore quantum materials and phenomena, catalyzing the discovery and design of the quantum technologies of the future.

D-Wave

D-Wave is a leader in the development and delivery of quantum computing systems, software, and services, and is the world’s first commercial supplier of quantum computers—and the only company building both annealing quantum computers and gate-model quantum computers. Our mission is to unlock the power of quantum computing today to benefit business and society. We do this by delivering customer value with practical quantum applications for problems as diverse as logistics, artificial intelligence, materials sciences, drug discovery, scheduling, cybersecurity, fault detection, and financial modeling. D-Wave’s technology has been used by some of the world’s most advanced organizations – we are the only quantum computing company that builds and delivers quantum systems, cloud services, application development tools, and professional services to support the end-to-end quantum journey.

Quantum Algorithms Institute (QAI)

The Quantum Algorithms Institute (QAI) is a non-profit organization working with government, academia, quantum industry, and customers for quantum solutions. QAI’s mission is to drive economic development in British Columbia by fostering quantum literacy, preparing the workforce for quantum technology adoption, and supporting organizations across industries to become quantum ready. QAI leverages BC’s strengths in quantum technologies to foster a vibrant ecosystem focused on job creation and economic growth. Founded in 2020, QAI is a catalyst for BC’s continued leadership in quantum innovation.

Quantum Industry Canada (QIC)

QIC is the Canadian national industry-led consortium of quantum technology companies and allied organizations. At the forefront of the quantum leap, QIC connects the leading quantum entities, supportive organizations, and stakeholders across the country. In 2024, QIC expanded its membership to over 65 premier organizations that are driving innovation, commercialization, and support across the full spectrum of quantum technologies and the supply chain. Quantum, eh?
