Poster session instructions
AQC 2025 includes 2 poster sessions, each featuring 20 research posters. Posters will be displayed in the foyer of the conference venue from June 9 to 11, depending on the presenters’ assigned session.
Poster presenters are expected to set up their own posters for their assigned poster discussion and viewing period, and to take them down afterward. AQC 2025 assumes no responsibility for posters left behind after the scheduled removal times; any unclaimed posters may be discarded.
Each poster session includes a 1-hour discussion period. During this time, poster presenters are expected to wear their name badges and be present at their posters. Outside of the scheduled discussion times, posters will remain available for viewing between the two sessions.
Poster set-up times
- Posters #1-18: June 9, 12pm-1pm PST
- Posters #19-34: June 10, 12:30pm-1pm PST
Poster discussions
- Poster #1-18: June 9, 3pm-4pm PST, poster session 1
- Poster #19-34: June 11, 3pm-4pm PST, poster session 2
Poster take-down times
- Posters #1-18: June 10, 12pm-12:25pm PST
- Posters #19-34: June 11, 4pm-4:30pm PST
Poster formatting
- Posters must be a single slide/page, and sized 36 inches by 48 inches. They may be formatted in either horizontal or landscape orientation.
AQC 2025 will provide the following for poster presenters:
- Poster boards in dimensions of 4 ft (height) × 8 ft (width)
- Poster board numbers indicating where presenters should hang their posters
- Push pins to secure posters to the poster boards
- Staff to assist with poster setup and removal if needed
Various businesses on the UBC campus, such as Copy Smart and Staples (Store #239), offer printing services. Presenters are responsible for submitting their orders, handling payment, and arranging pickup or delivery directly with the service providers.
